Chaos Factory

Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin Fringe Festival, 2018

Chaos Factory present a surreal spectacle of beauty, bravery and brutality.

A dressing room.
Three women invite you in.

Kiss Kiss Slap Slap is a multifaceted performance about the Ireland we live in. About the Ireland we could live in. The game is changing, times are shifting and the masks are finally slipping.

Everyone’s a witness.
So where do we go from here?
The jury is still out.

In the wake of #Repeal the Eighth and the #MeToo movement, Kiss Kiss Slap Slap welcomes a changing Ireland, moving forward from past oppressions and microaggressions. Kiss Kiss Slap Slap is looking back but never returning, arriving and trying to define the new.

A fast-paced, irreverent examination of rape culture in Ireland performed by Fionnuala Gygax, Danielle Galligan and Venetia Bowe, Kiss Kiss Slap Slap celebrates solidarity and empowerment.

Play development was supported by Fishamble: The New Play Company’s New Play Clinic.
Chaos Factory were recipients of Dublin City Council's Incubation Space Award 2018.
The award is intended for research and development of new works or collaborative methodologies.
Developed at FRINGE LAB with the support of Dublin Fringe Festival.
