The Island is a bilingual, character-led short film, set on Inis Oírr Island. The story explores a fractured mother/daughter relationship that gradually rebuilds through the magic of the island taking over, and a shared understanding of one another’s grief.

This film recently won the Boyne Valley Film Festival Short Film Bursary. It was also recently selected for the Actor as Creator Scheme with Screen Ireland.

It will be produced by Two Sparks.
